It's been awhile...

Since I last posted anything. Not that I haven't thought about it from time to time. But I've been so busy I haven't been able to even check here for comments on earlier posts that needed moderation.

You see, our church staff was "downsized" at the beginning of the year. We lost several people (4), the remaining staff were given salary cuts of 6% or 11% from their 2009 level, and additional duties were picked up as well. So to say that I haven't had time to breathe would be an understatement.

The economic situation is still shaky at best. But through it all we've been faithful to what God has put on our hearts to be and do. What's the result thus far? Well for the service I'm responsible for we've seen an increase in worship attendance, people have joined the church (at that service), we're seeing an incredible movement of the Holy Spirit in people's lives, and folks are re-learning what it means to be a Christ follower.

It's amazing to me how God uses our situation(s) to bring us back to Him. And how much power there is when we allow Him to enter in and use us for His glory.
